JUNE - DECEMBER 2023
Pure Blossom, a women-owned and -operated dispensary in New Jersey, hired Limone Creative five months before their opening to develop their brand identity from scratch. Limone positioned Pure Blossom as a holistic wellness brand that integrates cannabis into a broader wellness ecosystem.
I led the design from ideation to in-store merchandise.

signage
I coordinated the build of three exterior signs for Pure Blossom, designing, selecting the vendor and tracking progress.

cannabis & other essentials
As a boutique dispensary, Pure Blossom offers a selection of freshly harvested cannabis, beautiful smokeware, wellness products and essential merch. I sourced, designed, sampled and managed the creation of apparel, lighters, hats and more.

logos
Pure Blossom’s primary logo is designed with an elegant serif font that conveys trust, sophistication, and wellness. I created two versions: one with “dispensary” and another with “botanical wellness.” We primarily use the “botanical wellness” version to navigate the stringent cannabis marketing restrictions. For instance, many social media platforms penalize or even shut down accounts for using the word ‘cannabis.’ This has driven us to develop creative solutions, like using symbols to censor words and photoshopping cannabis out of our images.
terpenes
To normalize the benefits of cannabis and enhance understanding of its effects, I developed a suite of terpene icons. Recognizing that terpenes, which are aromatic compounds found in many plants, are all around us helps normalize cannabis. Terpenes offer a more nuanced understanding of cannabis effects beyond traditional classifications (sativa, indica, hybrid), leading to better-informed consumers and more consistent experiences.
blossoms
I created a series of blossom illustrations for Pure Blossom to use across channels. The fan leaf subtly alludes to cannabis, while the blossom on a branch offers a refined take on Pure Blossom’s previous logo.
